I phoned Bec's karate instructor last night to explain that Bec had fallen down the stairs and could she not go to training until Friday so that she could rest her ankle and he told me that practice was cancelled as his father had died suddenly that morning.
Her grading has now been postponed for a week so that he can sort the funeral etc out.
Deepest condolences to you, Hugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
