Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I'm supposed to be having V+ installed tomorrow (Richard Branson's equivalent to Sky+) I got home from work yesterday, checked the answerphone to find out that the men installing V+ for me on Saturday turned up on Wednesday, sigh ... When I eventually got through (hate call centres, don't you?) I was told that the system was currently down, but it was quite usual for engineers to call to install if they're in the area, he chirped. I wasn't convinced. Anyway, I decided to call again and it turned out that Wednesday was actually the day it was booked for. He couldn't understand why I didn't let them in, er, hello???? Because I wasn't bloody expecting them, that's why, you loon! After nearly two hours on the phone to someone up in Scotland it turns out can't give me Saturday either, he couldn't understand why I was getting slightly (and I use the term loosely here), wound up ... Because that's the flaming date I was given and through someone's incompetence, I can't have the damn date I was given, that's why!!!!! Now I've got to wait until a week on Monday (yep, have to take the day off as well) to get it installed. Not happy, no sirr-ee.

Rant over - thank you for taking the time to read this far ...

Bec's violin teacher is deciding a week on Saturday whether or not she's ready to do her Grade 3 exam, we're all pretty confident though, she's put loads of work in for this, I just hope she doesn't have an off day now. Gonna cost a pretty penny, but if it's what she wants and is prepared to put even more work in to get it, then I don't mind really.

Nothing else planned for the weekend, I'm working tomorrow (and next week and the week after) so by the time I get home, I'm hoping to just sit and stitch (the brat), get a take away in the evening and just chill with a bottle of wine.

Ooooooh, I just hate it when people don't show up when they're supposed to!

Good luck to your daughter for her violin exam. I'm sure she'll be brilliant.

Sounds like you've got a good idea for the weekend--take away, stitching and a bottle of wine. A little bit of heaven on earth!

Nightmare! I hate having to take days off work to wait in for people too.

Best of luck to your daughter for her violin exam, I'll have my fingers crossed :)

Mmmmm, you're giving me ideas now, that sounds like an ideal night in...
