Heavy cold, but could be flu, sigh ...

Last Sunday I started to get a tickly cough, the annoying type that no matter what you do, you can't seem to get rid of ... by Monday I was feeling okay again, but Tuesday, my voice went completely. I was trying to talk and all I was doing was squeaking, much to the amusement of family and friends, but I felt so well that I even did a session at the gym!

Come Wednesday, it hit me like a train. Every bone in my body ached, my head felt like it would explode, you know the feeling, I'm sure...

All I wanted to do was sleep and drink water (flavoured with some raspberry, in case you're wondering, heh heh heh!) My friend, Rosie in America had heard via the grapevine that I was a little hoarse so phoned to find out just exactly what I sounded like, much to her delight also, hmmmm!!

I managed to drag myself into work on Friday and was shattered just from walking from the car to the office, the Chief Exec took one look at me and sent me home again. I took some work home with me though as we're so, so busy there at the moment and managed to get into work on Saturday for a couple of hours. By the time I got home, I was wiped out and spent the rest of the day curled up on the sofa with a hot water bottle against my ear (thanks to Sue for suggesting it!)

Ever since Wednesday, I've been trying my hardest to hack up a lung, my chest feels like it's got a ton weight on it and sleeping is totally out of the question due to the hacking cough, watering eyes and earache galore, sigh ... I'm up at around 5 each morning.

Anyway, slowly but surely I think I'm on the mend, although I feel far from "well".

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. :( Get plenty of rest, plenty of fluids, watch some of your favorite movies, and hopefully you'll feel better soon!!

PS: I just noticed you're reading "Needful Things." That's one of my favorite Stephen King books. I think you'll really like it!!!
