Firstly I'd like to thank all who have posted wishing me well and congratulating me on my two girls, thanks have to go to Claire who placed them for me in the first place. If I'd have done it, one of them would have ended up looking at the other one's boobs ... hmmm. Not really the look I was after.

I've had quite a bad week in work this week. In December I witnessed a "spat" in the office where a colleague from another department was quite aggressive towards one of my team members and another stepped in and got rounded on and screamed at. Unfortunately, she was suspended when my colleague reported her for using foul language. Because I was there, I had to write a statement giving my version of events. This has now gone further and I had to meet with the Investigating Officer to give a verbal version of events. Not something that's pleasant at the best of times, let alone when I'm being treated for depression and my psoriasis is totally out of control at the moment. I saw her in Reception and she made a point of totally blanking me, sigh ...

I've managed to finish my Dashings this week ...

Just in time for the cold and wet weather we're expecting this week, methinks.


I'm going to try a stitchy rotation again this year over on Stitch Direct's forum. The difference this year is that it's a fortnightly SAL rather than a weekly one. One of the members said that you could have a good crack at a WIP over two weeks rather than just one therefore see much more at the end of the fortnight.

There's also a Competition SAL.

For this round, I'm going to do Silver Moon Fairy by Jessica Galbreth, I've already made a start, but there's really not much to see yet ...



Hopefully that'll change as the year goes on. Hmm ...

I'm also going to stitch Sadness of an Angel in Vikki Clayton Silks. She had a sale on a few months ago to make way for some new stock, so I took full advantage and bought everything I needed for it. I've done a few rows and so far it's turning out beautifully, but no pic yet until I've done a bit more. The silks are absolutely gorgeous to use and well with trying a couple of skeins.

I've also started knitting a pair of socks for myself (about time too, my mum said! I tend to knit for others). It's a free chart by Knitzi, called Nutkin ...

I had the yarn from my friend, Jules for my birthday in August. It's not only a gorgeous colour, it's an absolute joy to knit with too! Thanks, Jules!
