Gardening...

We haven't worked on the garden in *ages* ... I'm talking years now, not months! We've been so busy working on the house that the garden has had to take a back seat. Anyhow, yesterday we made a start. We've been talking about what we want to do to it for ages, so we put some stones down so that I can put pots of flowers all up one side of the garden (pictures to follow, I promise). But look who I found, living in my garden!

I have to admit, it frightened the life out of me when I touched it's nose (do frogs have noses?!) It was all slimy - to be honest, I thought I was touching a slug, but when the rest of him crawled out from wherever he was coming from, it was a, er, pleasant surprise in that it wasn't a slug after all...

(Sorry the photo isn't as clear as it should be, but it's actually transferred from my phone onto the computer - aren't *I* the clever one!)

I have hundreds of tadpoles in the bit of water I have. They turn into frogs and then disappear - I can never cut my grass for weeks as they all seem to pop up in the lawn when I get the mower out!!!

Wow! I haven't seen a frog for years. What a great garden visitor! Although I'm sure I would have jumped out of my skin at first, too!
